Sending you a microcharge is just one of the ways we verify your payment card.
If you see a charge of £1 (or equivalent in your payment card’s currency) pending on your payment card, and can’t see a code in the format C-[XXXXXX], this is likely an attempt at 3DS verification. This should've been processed automatically in the Curve app.
If we’re unable to verify your payment card using 3DS verification, we’ll then send your payment card a small charge (under £1.50, or equivalent in your payment card’s currency) which is immediately refunded. In the transaction reference, we embed a code which you’ll need to verify your card.
You can find the verification code in the bank statement of your underlying card. The code can take up to 5 days to appear on your bank statement, depending on your card issuer. If you’d like to know sooner, you can call your bank and ask for the code.
The code you’re looking out for will be in the format: C-[XXXXXX].
Once you enter this code in the app, you’ll be able to use your card with Curve!
If after all this you’re still unable to use your payment card, send us an email at email@example.com.
