Sometimes, declined transactions may appear on your statements when the merchant or retailer declines your transaction (or the transaction fails) and fails to update Curve. This can cause your payment to be processed.
This is poor behaviour from the merchant but it happens occasionally and does not mean that you’ll lose your money!
In these circumstances, the payment authorisation will automatically expire after 10 days, at which point our system will reverse the payment. You should see the transaction refunded to your payment card in 1-5 working days.
If you've had an issue with a decline that was subsequently charged, please get in touch with us in-app or email email@example.com with evidence of the decline - we may be able to refund the transaction.
