Yes, you can absolutely use your Curve card to withdraw cash at any ATM that supports Mastercard® cards. These will be subject to limits similar to your normal spending limits.

When starting with Curve, you'll be able to withdraw up to £200 per day and up to £3500 per month from ATMs. If your withdrawal exceeds these amounts, your transaction will be declined.

We won’t charge you any fee, as long as your payment card is set to the same currency you’re withdrawing.

If you’re withdrawing Euros, for example, make sure your currency is set to EUR in the Curve app. While generally free, we do have a fair use policy on this.

Using your Curve card at ATMs abroad

If you make an ATM withdrawal in another currency while abroad, we won’t charge you any fees up to a certain amount. Your limits will depend on which Curve card you have:

  • Curve Blue - £200/ month
  • Curve Black - £400/month
  • Curve Metal - £600/month

Any amount that exceeds these limits will be charged either a 2% or £2 fee, whichever is higher.

Magnetic stripe verification not supported

If you’re outside of the UK, look for Chip & Pin ATMs, as Curve cards don’t support magnetic stripe verification. Mastercard's ATM locator is helpful for this.

Beware of hidden fees

It's worth noting that cash withdrawal or cash advance fees might apply to your selected payment card. We pass through Merchant Category Code (MCC) information to your card issuer, so they can also see whether or not you have withdrawn cash. Check your card issuer's terms and conditions for whether any fees apply.

Also keep in mind that some ATMs will charge fees to use them, so we recommend you to read through the on-screen prompts carefully.
