To get started, open the Google Pay app. If you don’t see it on your device, download it from the Play Store!
Tap “Payment” in the navigation bar, then tap “+ Payment method”. Then, scan your Curve card with your camera. You can tap “Enter details manually” to type your long card number, CVV and expiry date in yourself (if you have one of our snazzy Investor cards, you’ll have to manually type your details from where they’re stored in the Curve app).
Type your billing address and phone number, then hit “Save”. Next, read and agree to our “Issuer terms”.
Finally, you’ll be asked to verify your Curve card on Google Pay. Select “Text message” and wait for the code. If you’re asked to call us, you can also raise a ticket in the Curve app or email email@example.com, we’ll help you out!
Once verified, you’re good to go!
A few things to note
First, it’s important to make sure your device is running Android 4.4 KitKat® or later. Also, if you’d like to use your phone to make Google Pay transactions in store, you need to make sure your device is NFC enabled.
Also, some Curve cards aren’t compatible with Google Pay in the EEA. If you’re having trouble adding your card, raise a ticket in the Curve app or email firstname.lastname@example.org, we’ll look into it.
