You can use Samsung Pay to shop with your debit and credit cards in almost any store accepting contactless payments. Also, there’s no limit on the value of Samsung Pay transactions, however, some merchants apply the contactless limit and only accept Samsung Pay payments up to £30 (or £45 from April 1st, 2020).
Keep in mind that you won’t be able to make any in-app purchases and all of your transactions using Curve with Samsung Pay will still be subject to your Curve spending limits. You can read more about your spending limits with Curve here.
Please note that if you lock your Curve Card in the app you won’t be able to make payments with Samsung Pay.
How do I stop getting multiple notifications for my purchases?
Both Samsung Pay and Curve send instant notifications, which means you’ll be notified twice every time you pay with your Curve card on Samsung Pay (potentially three times if your underlying payment card also gives you instant notifications).
If you don’t want to get two notifications for every transaction, you can turn off notifications in Samsung Pay:
- Open the Samsung Pay app and tap the ‘hamburger’ menu in the top left corner
- Tap the gear icon – this will take you to the Settings screen.
- Select “Notifications” – you should see an option to toggle notifications on or off.
